Check
out FIFA's
website. There is an unlimited amount of information
on world football. It has information on both women
& men, past & present. Inside the "Classic"
section of the FIFA website is article on The Heroes
of our sport, both players & coaches. There is
article on the classic matches of the past, legendary
clubs both past & present & the stadiums they
played in. The "Fanfest"
section has on line game, screen savers & wall
papers for download and fan form. I encourage both
, the girls & their parents to explore the FIFA
website.

Summer
time is the time for fun, family and relaxation.
This is important to recharge, heal from your long
nagging injuries and just take a break from the
hectic schedule of school & soccer. As the new season
rounds the corner, you as a player need to start
to get back into shape early by focusing on health
and nutrition. Health & nutrition go hand in hand,
but as a soccer player it is important to be in
top physical health as possible. This makes the
game so much easier to play. Proper nutrition /
diet is essential to success. Knowing which foods
& liquids to consume or not to consume & when is
key. Diet may have its biggest impact on training,
and a good diet will help support consistent
intensive training while limiting the risks of illness
or injury. Start early with a proper diet &
light running to help ease into the year, because
soccer season is right around the corner.
Down load the following PDF file from FIFA
" Nutrition for Football"
This is a practical guide to eating and
drinking for health and performance. Although the
whole article is very informative, there is a section
starting on pg. 32 on "Special Needs For the
Female Player".
